Pinoy Idol was a Filipino entertaining reality-based performing competitors designed and designed by FremantleMedia and 19 Enjoyment which shown on GMA System.
The system comes from Pop Idol designed by English entertainment professional Simon Bigger, which looks for to find the best musician or "idol" in the nation through a sequence of across the nation tryouts and stay shows, which is established by community voting through SMS.
The display "replaced" Filipino Idol, the first Idol sequence in the Malaysia transmitted by the Associated Delivering Organization in 2006.

Although she is officially the second victorious one of an Idol sequence in the Malaysia, GMA marketed Pinoy Idol as "the first Idol competitors in the Philippines" and does not identify Filipino Idol and its victorious one Mau Marcelo.
GMA System has allegedly determined not to generate a second period for 2009, and instead concentrate on another self-produced performing competitors.
